Discover the magic of the cosmos with the Luna Magna Platinum, featuring a captivating meteorite dial that tells a story as timeless as the stars.
Why we love it
The Arnold & Son Luna Magna Platinum is a masterful blend of horological innovation and exquisite design. This limited-edition timepiece, restricted to just 28 pieces, features a striking 44mm platinum case, adorned with a dial crafted from sand-coloured meteorite. The meteorite, part of the rare octahedrite class, reveals stunning Widmanstätten patterns, jagged geometric structures that enhance the dial's celestial theme. The three-dimensional spherical moon at six o'clock, carved from meteorite and Cacholong opal, adds a captivating touch, symbolising the watch's astronomical inspiration.
The dial of this watch is further complemented by a white opal sub-dial for hours and minutes, positioned off-centre to provide balance and symmetry. The use of opal and meteorite creates a dynamic contrast between the cool platinum case and the warm, earthy textures of the dial materials. Super-LumiNova has been incorporated into the moon, providing a subtle blue-green glow at night, adding both functionality and beauty.
At the heart of this timepiece is the hand-wound A&S1021 calibre, developed entirely in-house. This movement offers an impressive 90-hour power reserve and features a moon phase complication that is accurate to within one day every 122 years. The attention to detail extends to the caseback, where a secondary display allows for precise lunar adjustments.
This Arnold & Son Luna Magna Platinum 1LMAX.Z01A.C233C has light scratches on the case and caseback of the watch. The leather strap of the watch is in satisfactory form.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
