The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak is more than just a watch and this chronograph version is a reminder to dream big and achieve the unattainable.
Why we love it
Classic, clean-cut, and heritage would be the words synonymous with the Royal Oak collection. However, the brand has never backed down from adding complications to its classics. From introducing the chronograph to the tourbillon, Audemars Piguet continues to push forward, creating timepieces like no other.
Originally launched in 1997, the Royal Oak Chronograph has gone through various iterations to arrive at this one introduced in 2019. This Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph displays a steel-on-steel action with the watch and bracelet forged entirely in the robust material. The blue dial, embedded in their 41mm octagonal case, features the maison's signature grande tapisserie pattern, laying a foundation for the horizontally assembled rhodium-plated sub-dials. It also displays a date aperture between the four and five-hour markers.
The undeniably charming dial is also home to white gold hour markers and Royal Oak hands with luminescent coating. The minute attention to detail is noteworthy, subtly showcased by the bevelling on the edges of the bracelet for a sophisticated finish. It is finally completed with a glareproofed sapphire crystal to block the reflections.
This elegant and performance-driven watch is powered by an automatic calibre 2385, generating a power reserve of 40 hours. It is an excellent piece for any watch enthusiast out there.
This Audemars Piguet is in excellent pre-owned condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
