A watchmaking masterpiece! Fusing savoir faire with an endless quest for excellence, this Audemars Piguet Royal Oak comes endowed with a covetable Panda dial and an automatic calibre.
Why we love it
When Audemars Piguet Royal Oak first hit the watchmaking landscape with reference 5402, it instantly challenged the status quo, subsequently heralding a new era of high-end sports watches. Over the span of 50 years, this iconic timepiece has taken several appealing forms offering unparalleled functionality and effortless wearability with each iteration. Similar is the case with this reference 26331ST.OO.1220ST.03.
This Audemars Piguet Royal Oak demonstrates the wonderful evolution of the collection. Its case is a notable 41mm in diameter and comes furnished with a fixed, screw-detailed bezel. The crown is sturdy, flanked by guards and accompanied by chronograph pushers. The finishing on the case is brilliant, featuring vertical brushing throughout and a grained texture at the centre of the case back that comes elegantly engraved with the watch’s namesake. The bevelled edges, 11mm thickness and the recognisable octagonal shape explain why the Royal Oak is not only a functional but a design champion as well.
The dial on this Ref. 26331ST.OO.1220ST.03 further solidifies the watch’s stance as an aesthetically-appealing icon from AP. It is designed with a visually stunning “Grande Tapisserie” pattern in a covetable Panda style. The three sub-counters boast a contrasting black profile, while the applied hour indexes are executed in white gold. In addition, the hands are finished with a luminous coating.
The movement selected for this reference is calibre 2385, a self-winding mechanical movement constructed with 37 jewels. It features a vertical clutch and provides a long power reserve of 40 hours.
This Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 26331ST.OO.1220ST.03 is in mint condition with merely some negligible scuffs on the case back.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
