The amalgamation of an iconic design, novel details, and a modern calibre gives rise to a highly wearable and handsome sport watch — the Royal Oak Offshore Diver.
Why we love it
The updated Royal Oak Offshore Diver, released in 2021, makes a case for the subtle evolution of iconic designs. Akin to every Royal Oak Offshore, this version garners admiration on a single look through its stark simplicity, underpinned by luxury. But as one gets to know more, a number of interesting and refreshing elements strengthen that love. The first and the most important update on this reference is the addition of a modern AP calibre 4308. The movement, visible through the open caseback, is beautifully finished with a perlage pattern adorning its components. It’s a self-winding movement with 60 hours of power reserve and a beat rate of 28,800bph. The blue dial with the Méga Tapisserie pattern also carries novel details, like the new markers and the AP logo in lieu of the full brand name as found in previous models.
The thing that remains unchanged is the case size — 42mm. Rendered in stainless steel, the case is 300m water resistant and comes with two crowns at three and 10 o’clock. In addition to the signature octagonal bezel with the characteristic screws, the watch also comes with an inner twin-coloured bezel with marking to measure dive time.

Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
