This Royal Oak Offshore’s sporty personality shines through via a regal 18k pink gold case, a unique interchangeable leather strap, and the flyback chronograph automatic movement.
Why we love it
The skill of evoking a distinctively powerful sense of watchmaking has turned Royal Oak Offshore into one of the most coveted and sought-after styles amongst collectors, with its focus on sturdiness and an impactful aesthetic. Drawing upon the iconic legacy of Royal Oak, Offshore has endeavoured to reinterpret the signature codes of the collection through an astute sporty lens. It was first introduced in 1993, and today it is one of the linchpins of the maison.
This reference 26420RO.OO.A002CA.01 is defined by its bold aesthetics. The very sizable and notable 43mm case, rendered in 18k pink gold, is quite raw and rugged with a vertically brushed finish throughout and on the bezel that houses the recognisable screw details. The screw-locked crown and the pushers of this chronograph are executed in solid black ceramic. The sporty vibe of the case echoes on the black dial where the distinctive “mega tapisserie” pattern steals the show. The look on the dial is extremely appealing and is elevated with rhodium-toned subdials and a date window between four and five o’clock.
While the design and style are enough to make this Audemars Piguet watch a pièce de résistance, its functional elements are even more compelling. 100m water-resistant, this reference is driven by calibre 4401. It is meticulously constructed using 40 jewels and 381 parts to ensure a flawless mechanism. This self-winding automatic movement beats at a frequency of 28,800vph, comes with a flyback chronograph complication and provides a power reserve of 70 hours.
This Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore 26420RO.OO.A002CA.01 has minor scuffs on the crystal, case, and caseback.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
