Through a refined design and an interesting calendar complication on the dial, this Baume & Mercier Clifton strikes an elegant balance between flair and function.
Why we love it
Drawing its namesake apparently from a South-African seaside resort – Clifton – introduced in 2013 proudly looks to the past to offer timepieces that are effortlessly modern. Through its design, which can be easily be described as understated, the collection brings forth the notion of wearable luxury.
Boasting the signature elegance of the collection, this Ref. MOA10450 deftly combines a minimal style with high functionality and sturdy construction with a relaxed appeal. Housed in a 43mm stainless steel case, this Baume & Mercier watch features a white dial with Arabic numeral and index hour markers, three slim, pointed hands, and a contrasting blue hand to indicate the date with reference from the Arabic numeral date tracker on the outer rim. Below the brand signature at 12 o’clock is the day and month windows, while an elegant moonphase complication is present
at 6 o’clock position. The colour palette on the dial is in sync with the watch's overall appearance with a silver case and blue leather straps.
The sapphire crystal case back and the Dubois Depraz 9000 calibre inside make MOA10450 highly functional, resulting in a timepiece that is more than just an average dress watch. The Swiss-made automatic movement powering this reference provides a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. This Baume & Mercier Clifton Automatic approaches the art of watchmaking with an impressive style and strength that feels dignified and contemporary on the wrist.
This Baume & Mercier Clifton MOA10450 is in excellent condition with no scratches. The straps are also in very good condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
