With a beautifully-complex skeletonised dial, luxurious construction, and the Breguet lineage, this Tradition is a statement piece with an unmistakable wrist presence.
Why we love it
Because Breguet is known for taking inspiration from vintage pieces and antique pocket watches, there was special enthusiasm among patrons when its Tradition collection was released in 2005. It's a line of skeletonised watches that draws from the movement architecture of the famous souscription watches by Abraham Louis Breguet. This reference 7027BA/11/9V6 is a solid gold watch with a skeletonised dial featuring the manual winding movement, also rendered in gold. It perfectly delivers what one expects from a dress watch by Breguet - timeless luxury and unparalleled mechanism.
In addition to the skeletonised section, the off-centred silver dial is something to write home, thanks to its excellent craftsmanship and remarkable detailing. With a clean, legible style featuring a guilloche centre and signature Roman numeral markers, Breguet has kept things simple to balance the complexity of the dial's surroundings.
The skeletonisation on the watch is a showpiece, with a beautifully engraved power reserve indicator located left to the off-centre dial. It shows the 50-hour autonomy furnished by the single mainspring barrel that gets pride of place at the centre, visible through the front. Additionally, one can see the escapement and the balance wheel that uses Breguet's patented shock protection system, the pare-chute. At the back, the magic continues with the visible mechanism that drives the power reserve indicator. Further, one can marvel at Breguet's excellent craftsmanship through the use of bluish and black screws, 34 jewels, and elegant brand engraving.
The versatile 37mm size adds extra charm to the overall appearance, which in combination with signature details culminates in a nice balance between substance and style.
This Breguet Tradition 7027BA/11/9V6 shows light nicks on the case and buckle. Its leather strap is in satisfactory form.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
