With a striking colourway and a bevvy of useful complications, this Breitling Bentley Supersports Light Body is a bold and intriguing timepiece from this celebrated partnership.
Why we love it
Breitling and Bentley were partners for 19 long years before they parted ways in 2021, marking one of the longest-serving collaborations between a watch brand and a luxury car manufacturer. This celebrated partnership saw the introduction of quite a few brilliant timepieces, including this Bentley Supersports Light Body Chronograph.
It’s a fascinating piece with a bold and solid personality, marked by motorsports-inspired design codes and performance-driven complications. At 49mm, the lightweight titanium case offers a notable and dominating profile on the wrist. The angular construction with well-tapering lugs makes the watch easy to wear, despite the size. The bezel is fashioned in the signature Bentley raised pattern, and the finish is most striking on the case.
In terms of functionality, like a true motorsports watch, this Bentley Supersports Light Body comes with a circular slide rule bezel for easy calculation. Further, this chronograph stands out with an additional minute hand for recording elapsed time. Therefore, the dial houses a central seconds and minute hand, a minute totaliser at three, and a 12-hour sub-dial at nine. Breitling keeps the configuration on the dial interesting with an impressive use of red hue, overlapping counters, a date window at six, and neatly placed signature elements like the brand logos and texts. Also, legibility is strong with luminous hands and markers.
Breitling powers this watch with an automatic calibre B27. It offers a 42-hour power reserve at a smooth 28,800bph beat rate.
Please note this Breitling Bentley Supersports Light Body Chronograph E2736529/BA62 shows light scuffs on the caseback and clasp. Its rubber strap shows good condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
