This splendidly designed chronograph - Breitling Chrono Cockpit - with its charming details and reliable mechanism impresses in an instant.
Why we love it
This Chrono Cockpit is just another proof that Breitling stands at the vanguard of chronograph watches. A smart and stylish sport watch with 1/4th of a second chronograph and 100 metres of water resistance, this reference is a technical wonder that maximises its watchmaking utility. Patrons would be especially impressed and attracted to the engaging colour palette, the contrasting use of bright hues that lends the watch a characterful mien.
The dial includes bold and substantial Roman numeral hour markers neatly overlapped by chronograph subdials at 12, six, and nine, whereas at three o'clock sits a date window alongside the brand signature. Breitling makes all the details on the dial pop by putting them against a blue backdrop. While the enlarged markers and sub-registers occupy much space, the dial still manages to exude a balanced appeal that lets one read relevant details with ease.
At 39mm, this Chrono Cockpit is comfortable to wear, but the dominating colour scheme makes it noticeable on the wrist. In stainless steel, the case remains sporty and charming. The signature ratcheting bezel with gold rider tabs hammers home the contrasting effect of the dial, while the gold crown and pushers add a structural edge. The well-designed steel and gold bracelet completes the luxe look while elevating the feeling of wearing ease.
Inside resides the Breitling calibre 13, an automatic movement that beats at 28,800bph, offering a power autonomy of 42 hours.
This Breitling Chrono Cockpit arrives with light scratches on the case, bracelet, and clasp. However, overall it is in excellent pre-owned condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
