Limited to just 250 pieces, the Chronomat Frecce Tricolori pays homage to the iconic chronograph developed for the famed Italian aerial squadron in 1983.
Why we love it
In Breitling's illustrious history, this Chronomat holds a significant place. Introduced in 1984, amidst an era dominated by extra-thin quartz timepieces, it marked a bold departure—a return to the era of impressively proportioned mechanical watches. Developed in collaboration with the famed Italian aerial squadron, Frecce Tricolori, the Chronomat was born from the success of the previous year's Frecce Tricolori chronograph. This move not only celebrated Breitling's centenary in style but also reinstated the mechanical chronograph to its rightful prominence—a domain that had built the brand's global reputation.
The Chronomat, with its 42mm case and iconic bezel featuring the distinctive four rider tabs, exemplifies Breitling's commitment to excellence. Crafted in stainless steel and adorned with a striking blue dial featuring the emblem of the Italian aerial squadron, this special edition—the Chronomat Frecce Tricolori Limited Edition—is a true collector's gem. Paired with Breitling's signature 'Rouleaux' bracelet, this timepiece is powered by the in-house Breitling calibre 01, a COSC-certified chronometer renowned for its precision and reliability.
Limited to just 250 pieces, each Chronomat Frecce Tricolori bears the distinction of being engraved with 'ONE OF 250' on its caseback—a testament to its exclusivity and desirability among aficionados of fine horology.
Please note that this Breitling Chronomat AB01344A1C1A1 has scratches on the caseback, bracelet, and clasp.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
