Breitling gives the fan-favourite Navitimer a contemporary update that renders it more handsome and striking.
Why we love it
Breitling’s Navitimer is a line of luxury tool watches that’s running a league of its own. It has created an aesthetical legacy that has only been enriched with every new iteration. For 2022, Breitling updated the collection with almost everything that has made it great while introducing modification that gives it a tasteful contemporary touch.
Officially known as the Navitimer B01 Chronograph, this 41mm reference is largely the same watch with a steel round case featuring the signature slide-rule bezel and pump-style pushers flanking the crown. But the improvements done lean heavily towards a modern design sensibility. Rather than being finished entirely with polished surfaces akin to the previous Navitimers, the case here brings a mix of polished and brushed finishes. This difference creates a conspicuous change in the appearance of the watch, giving it a refreshing visual depth.
But the most significant changes have been added to the dial, which now looks cleaner and a tad more fancy, courtesy of the blingy dial colours. This reference AB0139211L1P1 flaunts a green dial with contrasting white sub-dials, which are recessed and have a ribbed pattern at the centre. Also, the tachymeter scale has been done away with to achieve that neat, balanced mien.
Breitling’s high-performance and popular B01 movement drives this Navitimer. It beats at a frequency of 4Hz and provides a power reserve of 70 hours.
This Breitling Navitimer B01 Chronograph AB0139211L1P1, purchased in 2023, shows an overall very good condition, with no signs of use and a firm leather strap.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
