BVLGARI’s technical brilliance doesn’t end at creating the world’s slimmest chronograph, it brings this astounding feat with an additional GMT function.
Why we love it
Another record-breaking iteration of Bulgari’s icon with the additional GMT function, this Octo Finissimo 103068 embodies the excellence this collection typically exudes. It is the world’s slimmest automatic chronograph and one with a GMT complication, released on the heels of the Octo Automatic in steel. Calibre BVL318 powering this watch is just 3.30mm thick, which makes the watch a shocking 6.90mm thin. It features the peripheral oscillating weight, first seen in the Octo Finissimo Automatic Tourbillon introduced in 2018 and a column wheel chronograph mechanism with a lateral clutch.
Beyond the chronograph and the GMT, this reference, of course, features the signature octagonal case in titanium and a titanium crown kitted with a ceramic insert. It is held by an integrated bracelet rendered in sandblasted titanium with a three-blade folding buckle. Housed within the 42mm case, the dial is an understated grey with a sandblasted finish and carries a subtle intrigue, courtesy of the harmonising printed sub-dials and skeletonised hands.
On the six and nine o’clock markers are stationed chronograph counters — 30-minute and 60-second registers respectively — controlled by pushers that flank the crown. At three o’clock is the 24-hour sub-dial that tracks the second time zone facilitated by the pusher at nine. This sub-dial also serves as the day-night indicator. Legibility has been one of the noteworthy elements of the Octo, and this reference adds even more charm and style via the muted palette and excellent finish.
This BVLGARI Octo Finissimo 103068 has minor nicks on the crystal. Yet, it is in very good condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
