If you like your timepiece to be one of the most iconic contemporary watches with excellent craftsmanship and superb mechanism, few will please you like this BVLGARI Octo Finisssimo.
Why we love it
BVLGARI has been smashing records with most iterations of the iconic Octo Finissimo. But while this automatic steel satin-polished version did not break any record, it landed with great impact for a good reason. Firstly, this reference 103297 broke away from the monochromatic looks donned by all the previous models where the case and the dial shared a similar design. The watch brought a refreshing change with its steel construction and contrasting black dial, resulting in a sportier, trendier timepiece on the wrist. Secondly, the alternating polished and satin finishes on the case and bracelet are high-octane, evidencing BVLAGRI’s commitment to design ingenuity. Interestingly, this reference is also the first Octo Finissimo to be 100-metre water-resistant, facilitated by a screw-down crown.
Cohabiting with novelties are a number of signature elements to drive home reasons why everyone loved the Octo Finissimo in the first place. Case in point – the automatic calibre BVL 138 with a record thinness of 2.23mm. The movement comes with a micro-rotor to achieve such thinness, rendered in solid platinum. Further, it carries a 36.6mm diameter to accommodate its components on a horizontal axis. This slim, self-winding movement promises a power autonomy of 60 hours.
In addition to the recognised calibre, the other element that remains the same is the case size – 40mm. The overall size of the watch has naturally increased by 1mm, but it’s a difference that is almost negligible to the naked eye. The watch looks handsome on the wrist, giving an appeal that’s suited to both black-tie events and outdoor shenanigans.
Except for some scratches on the case and bracelet, this BVLGARI Octo Finissimo 103297 is in fair pre-owned condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
