A delight for globetrotters, this Carl F. Bucherer Patravi TravelTec is a fantastic travel watch with three time zones and a stylish appearance that'll elevate all your looks.
Why we love it
Carl F. Bucherer has a penchant for bringing high functionality in extremely elegant forms, as we've seen with Manero or ScubaTec. This Patravi TravelTec falls in line with this notion, as it is not just any GMT watch but one with three time zones as well as a chronograph. It comes in a 46.6mm stainless steel case with both polished and brushed finishes. On the right, the crown and chronograph buttons are placed in a conventional setting, while a patented secondary pusher is positioned at 10 o'clock to adjust the third time zone. Setting different time zones on this TravelTech has been made easier with engravings on the caseback featuring different cities and their deviations from GMT. Although the caseback on this reference is solid, one can still glance at the mechanism through a rectangular window on the caseband beside the 10 o'clock pusher.
This TravelTec has a rather busy dial with three time zones, three sub-dials, and a date window. As with most GMT watches, the local time is displayed at the centre through applied indexes and skeletonised luminous hands. The fixed 24-hour second-time zone scale of small Arabic numerals is located on the outer chapter ring. The third time zone is displayed on a rotatable 24-hour Arabic numeral scale that sits between the central indexes and the outer ring. The third time zone is indicated via a red hand with an inverted triangle at the tip. The sub-dials are arranged in a horizontal configuration - the running seconds counter at three, a 12-hour sub-dial at six, and a 30-minute register at nine. Finally, the date window rests between four and five o'clock.
All these useful complications run smoothly with the aid of automatic calibre 1901.1, which has 39 jewels and beats at 28,800bph. It is based on ETA 2894 chronograph module with a vertical clutch and has a hacking system. This COSC-certified movement provides a power reserve of 42 hours.
This Carl F. Bucherer Patravi TravelTec 00.10620.08.53.01-POWG22A has no scratches on the watch. The leather strap is also in good condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
