Presenting Patravi Day-Date equipped with the iconic calibre A1001 featuring a peripheral winding rotor that allows you to marvel at the fine finishes of the movement, uninterrupted.
Why we love it
Carl F. Bucherer brought a new turn to conventional watchmaking with its innovative and pioneering calibre A1000 in 2009. It was the first mechanical movement to come with a peripheral winding rotor in lieu of a centrally mounted one. Subsequently, for the first time, an automatic movement could be seen in its entirety from the sapphire crystal caseback. This Patravi Day-Date is driven by an enhanced version of A1000 - CFB A1001. Like A1000, this calibre also assures high accuracy, shock resistance, and 55 hours of power reserve.
The movement is housed inside a 44mm cushion-shaped stainless steel case with chamfered lugs and sits like a dress watch on the wrist. The dial is furnished with a clean, streamlined appeal, characteristic of the house. A big date window is unconventionally placed at 11 o'clock with a day aperture at nine and a running second sub-register at six. Overall, this Patravi is a versatile timepiece that can be donned by patrons of varying tastes.
What you should know

Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
