Carl F. Bucherer’s charming Patravi EvoTec with a unique calendar week indicator effortlessly included in the watch’s elegant design.
Why we love it
When Carl F. Bucherer released the Patravi EvoTec DayDate at Baselworld 2009, it turned a lot of heads. Staying true to the maison’s innovative spirit, the watch came with the house’s first manufacture calibre, the CFB A1000 featuring the revolutionary peripheral rotor. In 2011, Carl F. Bucherer brought the elegant Patravi EvoTec Calendar into the scene. Unlike its predecessors in cushion-shaped cases, this new reference 00.10629.08.63.01 boasted the classic round profile in a 42.6mm case rendered in stainless steel. However, the most refreshing element of the watch was the indication of 53 calendar weeks.
With novel details, this reference also boasted a few recognisable features. As a result, we find the big date window at 11, day aperture at nine, and small seconds at six o’clock, akin to the previous Patravi EvoTecs. The small seconds indicator shown in a sub-dial in all the other models here comes on a semi-circular disc, giving way to the week indicator, positioned on an inner ring. This combination of new and old elements on the dial and case gives this Patravi EvoTec Calendar a refreshing vibe, yet at a glance, you know it's a Carl F. Bucherer watch.
The automatic manufacture calibre A1004 is also based on the house’s Evolution Technology and has a peripheral rotor. In addition to showing 52 weeks, it includes a 53rd calendar week to avoid setting the calendar back in years with more than 52 weeks. Additionally, the movement has 55 hours of power autonomy and presents a beautiful sight through the sapphire crystal caseback.
This Carl F. Bucherer Patravi EvoTec Calendar is an ideal evolution of the EvoTec series and brings a sporty and elegant design. The unique dial configuration is refreshing and legible, letting the wearer read the complete calendar at once. Finally, the harmony of the silver dial, steel case, and the black leather strap looks pleasing on the wrist.
This Carl F. Bucherer Patravi EvoTec Calendar 00.10629.08.63.01 shows light nicks on the case and caseback. Its brown leather strap is in good condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
