Cartier's foray into the realm of sporty chronographs is nothing short of stupendous, with the Calibre de Cartier exemplifying the brand's commitment to excellence and innovation.
Why we love it
Cartier's Calibre de Cartier is a bold expression of style and performance that seamlessly merges sophistication with functionality. With its 42mm case size, this wristwatch commands a powerful presence on the wrist. Encased in a round case, this timepiece features a subtle black dial adorned with a combination of printed Roman numerals and applied index markers, complemented by luminous hands for enhanced visibility. A significant date window positioned at six o'clock provides practicality and convenience.
This chronograph features a 30-minute counter at three o'clock and a 12-hour counter at nine, both accented with bevelled edges that echo the design of the bezel. The crown, adorned with a signature cabochon, adds a touch of refinement. The minute track on the fixed bezel is a notable feature, providing a subtle deviation from the minute markers usually found on the dial. Additionally, a discreet 'Cartier' branding on the tenth numeral preserves the maison's elegant design language.
With a water resistance rating of 100m, this watch is built to withstand the rigours of everyday wear. The skeleton caseback offers an unobstructed view of the intricate automatic calibre 1904-CH MC. With a reserve of 48 hours, this movement ensures consistent and dependable performance.
This Cartier Calibre de Cartier W7100061 has minor marks on the bracelet and clasp. Yet, the watch promises excellent condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
