Brilliant good looks combine with useful functions in this radiant Rotonde de Cartier that captures the maison's proclivity for timeless elegance.
Why we love it
With a refined design and practical functions, Rotonde de Cartier confidently evokes the maison's characteristic sophistication. It presents a 40mm round steel case and a silver dial that is exceptionally legible with its dark Roman numeral hour markers and blue Breguet hands that add a welcome dash of colour. A date aperture showing three dates with an arrow pointing to the current date rests conspicuously below the 12 o'clock marker. Despite its unique form, the date window blends seamlessly with the other dial furniture, in no way complicating the straightforward nature of the dial. The same is true for the power reserve indicator at six.
Inside the slim 8.94mm thin case beats the calibre 9753. It's a manually-wound movement, only 2.1mm high, with a 38-hour power reserve. This Rotonde de Cartier is a modern classic that effortlessly adds an understated charm to any look, whether work or pleasure.
What you should know
While the caseback and clasp on this Rotonde de Cartier W1556369 show minor scuffs, the leather strap promises a satisfactory form.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
