The classic Santos, now in an effortlessly cool all-black ensemble.
Why we love it
Launched in 2020, this black Santos de Cartier boasts a 39.8mm large square case that is 9.38mm thick and forged in stainless steel. Usually sticking to their classic elements, this reference brings a twist of contemporary to the Santos de Cartier watches. An all-black attire is achieved by the ADLC-coated steel complemented by a rubber strap and the dial. This Santos' dial is also equipped with hands and Roman numeral hour markers coated in luminescent material. Moreover, the crown holds a black-coloured spinel cabochon adding to the watch's all-black look. The polished steel screws on the case and rubber strap accentuate the modern and fresh appeal of this Cartier while keeping the classic sensibilities intact.
The watch features the in-house calibre 1847 MC automatic movement, extensively utilised within the brand. It operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of approximately 48 hours. Furthermore, it boasts water resistance to 100 metres.
What you should know
This Santos de Cartier WSSA0039 has scratches on the clasp. Despite that, it is in very good condition. The strap is in satisfactory form.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
