This Happy Sport displays Chopard’s mastery at watchmaking, packing useful complications into a classic, refined form. And, of course, the playful diamonds have us smitten.
Why we love it
Chopard Happy Sport is a timepiece that embraces playful femininity with massive confidence. It is perhaps as creative and luxurious as a watch could be, for the unique use of diamonds on it stimulates a profound sense of ingenuity and craftsmanship. Over the years, the Happy Sport has iterated into different but equally refined versions, and each rendition has succeeded in becoming a deep-cut favourite. This chronograph model, reference 288499-6002, is the perfect watch for some subtle bling.
The round steel case is a notable 42mm with a ratcheted bezel in the lush glow of rose gold and smoothly curved lugs, making for an extremely charming silhouette. The finishing is impeccable on the case, and the bracelet promises aesthetical harmony with a complementing steel and gold construct.
The dial leans into the opulent aura of the collection, resulting in a piece that looks distinct on the wrist. Of course, the highlight is the floating diamonds that move freely between two sapphire crystal glasses. Their blithe movement around the dial creates a pleasing incoherence. The cleanly-placed chronograph counters that overlap with hour indexes, luminous hands, and the tone-on-tone date window display a sense of effortless functionality.
Powered by a quartz movement, this Chopard Happy Sport is a watch that exudes casual elegance and formal refinement at once and will make a strong addition to anyone’s collection.
This Chopard Happy Sport Chronograph 288499-6002 shows excellent pre-owned condition with a few minor nicks on the caseback, bracelet, and clasp.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
