With supreme performance, indelible style, and rare nautical complications, this Admiral's Cup Tides is designed for unforgettable seafaring adventures.
Why we love it
Corum Admiral is a watch with a celebrated legacy, loved for its distinctive dodecagonal case and appealing heft. So, when the house decided to iterate such an iconic style, it had to be nothing but extraordinary. And extraordinary is the Admiral's Cup Tides with such unique complications that its equal has not been found since.
This reference 277.931.06.0371-AN12 is the epitome of nautical watchmaking, manifesting the house's maritime fondness most tastefully. It is powered by a highly-efficient automatic mechanical movement - calibre CO277. In addition to the conventional hours, minutes, seconds, and date functions, this calibre also wields several interesting navigation-related complications, displayed attractively on the dial. The solid black dial bears a sub-dial at 12, featuring a moon phase complication to determine the tidal movements. Additionally, this sub-dial specifies the strength of the tides. At six o'clock is a sub-register indicating the time of the two succeeding tides in the next 24 hours through a 24-hour scale. And finally, will the tides rise or ebb can be comprehended with the aid of the sub-counter at nine.
Such heavy complications are housed in a rather lightweight 48mm titanium case that is worn on the wrist via a robust rubber strap. Calibre CO277 which makes all the magic happen also ensures a power reserve of 48 hours.
This Corum Admiral 277.931.06-0371-AN12 shows light scratches on the sapphire crystal glass. However, the overall condition is fairly good.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
