Bolder and better. Corum’s Admiral’s Cup Competition will garner curious looks again and again. The dodecagon case shape and the nautical pennants make it truly recognisable.
Why we love it
This Admiral’s Cup Competition by Corum is a luxury sports watch that approaches watchmaking with a bold, contemporary, and dynamic sensibility. Using lightweight titanium, this reference 947.931.05/0371-AN32 takes a signature dodecagon shape. It features a rose gold bezel mounted on a 48mm case. Smaller lugs and the guards flanking the gold screw-down crown create a familiar appearance. But it’s the dial that makes this Admiral’s Cup instantly recognisable. Armed with the nautical pennants as the markers, the blue dial plays host to a day-date window at three and a seconds subdial at nine. The clear script and luminous hands on the dial help achieve absolute legibility.
The characteristic nautical pennant motif also finds a place on the rubber strap, which is a distinguishing element in its own right. The meticulous wave design on the inner side of the strap and the satin-finished, considerably large pin buckle fastening are the highlights of the strap in blue. ETA 7750, sans the chronograph elements, acts as the base for the chronometer-certified Corum calibre CO 947 that powers this reference. It provides a power reserve of 42 hours. Worth noting is the solid caseback that facilitates 300 metres of water resistance and is designed in a domed shape with sleek recess lines that allow heat and sweat to escape.
What you should know
This automatic Corum watch is in great shape with minor scratches on the case, caseback, and clasp. Please note the watch comes with a blue rubber strap.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
