Rendered in titanium, its charming blue dial is adorned with a fine sunburst finish exuding luxe sophistication - perfect to complete your black-tie ensembles.
Why we love it
With iconic haute horlogerie creations in its repertoire, as the Golden Bridge watches, one doesn't need to tell how adept and creative the maison is in the art of complex watchmaking. But a clean, elegant dial housed in a smooth round case? Now that's not very Corum-like. In more ways than one, La Grande Vie is the kind of novelty watch enthusiasts were quietly wishing for from the brand. Though the house intended this modest timepiece that carries all the signature house codes in a classic design for first-time buyers, it pleased the old guards and new waves alike.
Constructed in titanium, the watch features a 42mm case with angular, tapered lugs and a knurled crown. On the dial, a streamlined appeal is manifested by slim hour indexes, skeletonised hands, the brand logo at 12 o'clock, and the watch name above six. The lack of elements on the dial allows the blue sunburst finish to take centre stage. It adds a statement touch to this otherwise humble appeal of the watch. Inside, the calibre CO 082 beats at 28,800bph to ensure a power reserve of 42 hours and is protected via sapphire crystal caseback.
What you should know
There are noticeable scratches on the case, caseback, and buckle; however, the leather strap on this Corum Heritage La Grande Vie 082.750.04/0063 LG03 is in fine shape.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
