Czapek Antarctique is an immaculately-crafted watch that offers a luxurious feel. This Czapek Antarctique Passage de Drake Deep Blue we have here was released six months after the original model to capitalise on its success - the first 99 pieces sold out within weeks of the launch. While most details are borrowed, some elements make this Passage de Drake more elevated and distinct. The 40.5mm case, rendered in stainless steel, is rather impressive as it retains strength while flaunting discerning details. It's deceptively angular with its barrel shape that runs smoothly for the most part, with sharp edges emerging only at the point of integration with the bracelet. In the same vein, the bezel is round and sits atop the case in a slightly-raised fashion. Both the case and the bracelet feature a meticulous brushed finish, so precise it holds one's gaze for a while and is further juxtaposed with highly-polished surfaces - the bezel on the case and the C-shaped links on the bracelet.
