This Masters Chronograph reflects the distinguishable aesthetics and retro sensibility of Daniel Roth. It features an impressive colour scheme and a distinctive silhouette to end your black-tie looks on a luxurious note.
Why we love it
Daniel Roth’s singular and creative timepieces explore the unconventional facets of watchmaking. By positioning recognisable elements at the core of its identity, Daniel Roth extends watches that stand apart in terms of design and aesthetics, veering away from the dominant trends in the industry. Exuding a neo-vintage appeal, Daniel Roth watches are aimed at seasoned collectors.
This Masters Chronograph 247.X.10.161.CN.BD is a classic Daniel Roth where round and rectangular shapes meet to form a unique case structure, christened as the double-ellipse case. Constructed out of stainless steel, the case is defined by a stepped bezel, rectangular chronograph pushers, and a knurled crown.
Supplying enough functionality and readability, the dial brings a delicate juxtaposition of textures with a striped guilloche pattern as a background upon which a brushed chapter ring and subdials sit. The overlapping design and the nominal shift of hues create a visual depth that demands attention. Minute markers on the outer ring, Roman numeral hour markers on the inner one, a date window, and three sub-registers featuring small seconds, 30-minute, and 12-hour complete the dial with aplomb.
Equipped with 31 jewels and a shock-absorber mechanism, the Roth calibre 400 is a finely-finished automatic mechanical movement that can be seen through the sapphire crystal case back.
This Daniel Roth 247.X.10.161.CN.BD is in very good, pre-owned condition. It has black leather straps that are a little soiled. The clasp and the case back show a few visible scratches.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
