All the finance guys who travel a lot through different time zones, Girard-Perregaux made the most incredible timepiece for your ease - the WW.TC Financial.
Why we love it
Limited to just 250 pieces, this Girard-Perregaux WW.TC Financial smartly combines high-end watchmaking with capable functionality. It came down the spike in 2006 and immediately elevated the travel watch genre with its unique feature. It's a world time watch, displaying 24 time zones. However, it takes things a notch higher by displaying market trading times of the major stock markets around the world - New York, London, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
So, the configuration of the dial goes like this - on the outermost rotatable ring are placed all 24 time zones, followed by a 24-hour disc in two tones for day and night indication. This particular disc also features a red index. When it points to one of the stock markets, it displays the remaining opening time of that particular stock exchange. Further, the dial's centre accommodates hour indexes, horizontally-arranged chronograph sub-dials, and a date aperture between one and two. Now naturally, the dial should look crowded, but it's here where Girard-Perregaux's indelible craftsmanship kicks in. The dial, in spite of all the details, looks pleasing to the eyes and surprisingly legible.
The 44mm case comes in stainless steel with a combination of brushed and mirror-polished finishes. It carries the crown flanked by chronograph pushers on the right and a crown on the left to set the local time. Finally, visible through the exhibition case back is the in-house automatic movement 033C0 with 46 hours of power reserve.
This Girard-Perregaux WW.TC Financial bears light scratches on the case back and come with a slightly soiled leather strap.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
