A streamlined and elegant sensibility once again dominates the Girard-Perregaux Laureato. This Evo3 comes with useful functions, a balanced mien, and a perfect touch of red on the dial.
Why we love it
The juxtaposition of shapes and addition of numerous elements on the dial might seem a bit too much for a timepiece, but it's right at home on this Girard-Perregaux Laureato Evo3. In fact, it is the strength of aesthetics and design that Laureato was able to stir up the reverence it receives today. As the name suggests, this Laureato Evo3 is the third evolution of the original. While back then, if it was primarily the case shape and integrated bracelet that stunned the world, for contemporary enthusiasts, the charm very much lies in the dial.
Placed inside a stainless steel case, the dial here is where all the magic happens. Girard-Perregaux uses four symmetrical sub-counters placed in a streamlined fashion at 12, three, six, and nine o'clock to legibly populate the dial. Instead of a window, the date is showcased on the subdial at 12 in order to ensure easy and quick reading. All the counters are installed upon a panel featuring the interesting Clou de Paris pattern. Finally, running along the periphery of the dial is a tachymeter scale, succeeded by minute indexes and luminous hour markers.
Inside the 44mm case is the automatic calibre GP033C0 with a column-wheel chronograph mechanism. It features a beautiful perlage pattern and promises a power autonomy of 46 hours.
Even with the presence of a few minor nicks on the caseback, bracelet, and clasp, this Girard-Perregaux Laureato Evo3 boasts excellent pre-owned condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
