Not just superior style, this Girard-Perregaux Laureato promises superior functionality in a 904L steel case that comes with superior resistance to corrosion.
Why we love it
This chronograph iteration is elegant proof of why Laureato is one of the most iconic watches by Girard-Perregaux. Timeless in aesthetics and practical in functions, the watch looks understated at first glance but quickly seems extremely well-executed and comfortable in its wear.
It features a 42mm case rendered in 904L steel that promises higher resistance to corrosion and a stunning finish upon polishing due to the presence of high chromium content. It is moderately thick at 12mm and comes with the signature octagonal bezel. The combination of brushed and polished finishes throughout the case and the bracelet deliver the exceptional craftsmanship the maison is known for.
On the dial, a Clous de Paris pattern provides an interesting background for equally characterful ribbed sub-dials and luminous indexes that appear to have suspended from the minute chapter ring. The tone-tone date aperture between four and five o'clock blends with the style sensibility on the dial, fostering a clean, understated appeal. The self-winding mechanical calibre GP03300 powers this timepiece and offers a power reserve of 46 hours.
Except for light scuffs on the bracelet, this Girard-Perregaux Laureato Chronograph promises excellent pre-owned condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
