Embracing eccentricity with serious watchmaking, this Graham Chronofighter's bold appearance on the wrist commands attention wherever you go.
Why we love it
On 6th June 1944, Allied forces launched a naval, air, and land attack on Nazi-occupied France. This covert mission was named Overlord. Graham launched Chronofighter Vintage Overlord to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the infamous D-Day.
The watch does not shy away from showcasing the elements inspired by the event. The oversized 44mm case houses a green sand-blasted dial, the shade of green appears to draw inspiration from the green hue frequently used in the military. The sizable nature of the watch not only makes a statement on the wrist but also displays the often-overlooked details, minutely. The dial showcases golden hands and luminous Arabic numeral markers in US Airforce font. A day-date function is at nine, while a small seconds counter and a 30-minute counter with a Native American head are placed at three and six, respectively. The bronze body, completed with a monopusher, has a protected crown on the left for an ergonomic fit.
The automatic calibre G1747 can seen through the skeletonised titanium caseback. The caseback also has a limited edition engraving, 04/75. Held securely by a beige NATO strap, this whimsical timepiece deserves a place in your watch collection.
This Graham Chronofighter Vintage Overlord 2CVAK.G05A.BRAL156B is in good condition despite the scratches on the caseback. Additionally, the strap is soiled.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
