Grand Seiko Spring Drive Snowflake captures the essence of winter’s beauty with every smooth tick of blue, turning time into art.
Why we love it
Grand Seiko Spring Drive Snowflake SBGA211 particularly crafted at the Shinshu Watch Studio in Japan’s Nagano Prefecture is a timepiece that is a testament to the meticulous artistry of its makers. The studio’s location, surrounded by the serene Hotaka mountains, inspires the design of the watch. The snowflake dial is reminiscent of snow, capturing its delicate beauty and ethereal light. This natural influence is integral to Grand Seiko’s ethos of harmonising timepieces with their environment.
The striking contrast between the snowflake dial and the blue-tempered steel seconds hand creates a visually dynamic element, drawing attention without overwhelming the design. The case, made from high-intensity titanium, not only contributes to the timepiece’s lightweight feel but also maintains a refined appearance, resistant to scratches and corrosion. The overall balance of materials and finishes results in a timepiece that is not only functional but also visually captivating, embodying the harmony of craftsmanship and design that Grand Seiko is renowned for.
At the heart of the SBGA211 is the Spring Drive movement, a mechanism that combines the traditional mainspring with the accuracy of quartz technology. This innovative system offers a power reserve of 72 hours, with a power reserve indicator elegantly positioned on the dial. This combination of durability and elegance makes this timepiece a sophisticated choice for watch enthusiasts. Each detail, from the hand-finished hour markers to the intricate dial texture, reflects Grand Seiko’s unwavering pursuit of perfection and artistry.
This Grand Seiko Spring Drive Snowflake SBGA211 has light scratches on the caseback. There are scuffs on the clasp and the bracelet of the watch as well.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
