The Grand Seiko Boutique Exclusive Edition captures winter’s tranquil beauty with its Mount Iwate-patterned dial and a sleek reinterpretation of the iconic 44GS design.
Why we love it
The Grand Seiko Boutique Exclusive Edition showcases a masterful blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern design. Its striking blue dial, adorned with the 'Mount Iwate pattern,' mirrors the ridgelines of the iconic mountain visible from the Shizukuishi Watch Studio, where all Grand Seiko mechanical watches are crafted.
The watch’s exterior is a refined interpretation of the classic Grand Seiko Style, first introduced with the 44GS in 1967. This modern take retains the design’s signature clean-cut, wide mirror surfaces, reflecting Grand Seiko's commitment to precision and clarity in both form and function. The 44GS, originally conceived to define Grand Seiko's unique aesthetic, has been reinterpreted here to establish a timeless style for future generations.
Powered by the 9S86 automatic movement, the watch offers a 55-hour power reserve and features 37 jewels, with a high-frequency 36,000vph for exceptional accuracy. The GMT function, complemented by a date window at three o’clock, adds practicality to the elegant design, making this exclusive timepiece a perfect balance of beauty and precision.
This Grand Seiko Heritage Boutique Exclusive Edition SBGJ235G has scratches and dents on the case and caseback. Visible nicks and dents are also present on the bracelet and clasp.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
