This Heritage Centre Seconds captures the ergonomic approach and minimalistic charm of the 20s pocket watches with the best of Moser's signature elements.
Why we love it
We won't be the first to admit that H. Moser & Cie has a knack for presenting highly-complex and elevated watchmaking in a form that caters to modern sensibilities yet has a conventional undertone. Almost all the timepieces in its catalogue vouch for it. In 2018, the house introduced a new timepiece called the Heritage as part of the Bucherer Blue Editions. The watch, inspired by the pocket watches of the 1920s, impressed everyone instantly. Therefore, when the house released a more compelling and Moser-like iteration of the Heritage in 2019, it left us all swooning.
Heritage is a watch full of signature military watch elements: the symmetric round case, wired lugs, an onion-shaped crown for ease of use, and large Arabic numeral markers that promote legibility. The well-proportioned 42mm steel case combines elegant finishes and smooth rounded contours. The slim profile of the lugs gives a refined feel. It features ribbed panels on the case bands and the crown is engraved with the M logo.
The superstar of the watch is the Moser's signature funky blue fume dial. The enchanting shade of blue and the sunray finish adds an unmistakable appeal to the overall aesthetic. It features applied Arabic numeral hour markers filled with a luminous material called Globolight and a clean look with a railroad minute track on the outer rim, luminous hands, and the brand signature below noon.
More than just a pretty face, this H. Moser & Cie Heritage Central Seconds is powered by a self-winding calibre, HMC-200. With a central rotor, a 21,600bph frequency rate, and a 72-hour power reserve, this in-house movement can be seen and admired via the exhibition caseback.
Please note this H. Moser & Cie Heritage Central Seconds shows visible scratches on the case, caseback, and clasp. Its leather strap is in good condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
