It’s an impressively charming and technical watch that oozes the true haute horlogerie level we know Moser for.
Why we love it
The H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner is a classic case of wanting to jump on the bandwagon but in a distinctively singular style. A luxury sports watch with an integrated bracelet is hardly a new discipline in the world of watchmaking. However, when Moser decided to create its version of the style, the maison did so with remarkable ingenuity. So much so that the GPHG took quick notice and awarded Streamliner the best chronograph of 2020. This reference 6902-1201 is a loyal descendant of the inaugural piece.
It commands an unparalleled wrist presence thanks to its dynamic case shape and notable dimensions – 42.3mm x 14.2mm. The stainless steel case and the integrated bracelet are adorned with a tasteful brushed finish. The construction of the bracelet is something to write home about; it tapers from the case to the clasp, creating a stunning visual pizzaz in addition to offering wearing comfort. The overall shape and its hypnotising fluidness are one of the biggest highlights of the watch.
The colour of the dial is where this reference breaks away from its predecessor. Moser dressed this version up in its signature Funky Blue fumé dial. It’s a minimalist and clean canvas for Moser's technical genius to take centre stage. In an instance, one can hardly decipher this Streamliner is a chronograph. However, once the mechanism is set into action using the pushers that flank the case, we see two central hands move, recording elapsed minutes and seconds. The minute scale on the periphery is an automotive-inspired detail that hammers home the watch’s sporty genesis, as does the tachymeter scale on the inner flange.
Powering the watch is calibre HMC 902. This automatic flyback chronograph movement is produced by Agenhor and is an iteration of its celebrated central chronograph Agengraph movement. It is driven by a column wheel and boasts two barrels that facilitate up to 54 hours of power reserve. Also, on a completely novel side, the rotor of this movement is placed dial-side, giving you an uninterrupted view through the caseback.
Purchased in 2023, this H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Flyback Chronograph bears a few nicks on the case and caseback. Please note the bracelet and clasp also show minor scuffs.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
