The H. Moser & Cie. Venturer Small Seconds XL is a limited edition masterpiece that exudes elegance from the front and reveals a remarkable power reserve feature on the back.
Why we love it
The Venturer Small Seconds XL Fume Dial is a stunning limited edition timepiece from H. Moser & Cie.'s Specials collection, with only 100 pieces crafted for discerning collectors. This remarkable watch features a 43mm 18k red gold case that beautifully frames the minimalist Rhodie Fume dial. The dial is elegantly appointed with indexes at three, six, nine, and 12, and a recessed small seconds sub-dial at six o'clock. Sleek leaf hands and a fluted crown enhance its refined aesthetic, while a luxurious crocodile leather strap provides a sophisticated finishing touch.
Inside the Venturer Small Seconds XL beats the meticulously crafted Moser calibre HMC 327. This manually-wound movement offers a generous three-day power reserve and operates at a charmingly anachronistic 18,000 vibrations per hour (2.5 Hz). The Staumann hairspring, produced in-house by Moser, adds to the movement's precision and allure. Visible through the sapphire caseback, the movement's elegant finishing includes alternating stripes on the plates and bridges, bevelled edges, and polished countersinks for the jewels. Additionally, a power reserve indicator is subtly positioned beside the balance wheel, providing a practical touch to this horological marvel.
What you should know
This H. Moser & Cie. Specials Venturer Small Seconds XL 2327-0408 has minor scuffs on the case, caseback, and buckle. Yet, it is in very good condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
