All your watch fantasies are waiting to be realised through this elegant Harry Winston that complements countless sensibilities through its understated charm and timeless look.
Why we love it
Defining a new and modern vision of elegance, Harry Winston’s Midnight Big Date offers myriad possibilities to elevate one’s style in a manner that conforms to both form and function. With Midnight Big Date, Harry Winston proved that its watches are for everyday use as well. Yes, a sheer departure from the high-end watches of the Opus and Ocean lines, Midnight Big Date brings a more restrained and — not entirely but — plain sailing outlook to the brand’s luxury-inducing repertoire.
This Harry Winston Midnight Big Date Ref. MIDABD42RR005 aims to keep things simple and dignified without forgoing the luxury aspect that the Maison is synonymous with. This aura of nonchalance is captured through a meticulously-crafted 42mm, 18k rose gold case guarded by curved lugs and held by exotic leather straps in a brown hue. With a 10mm thickness, the case is fairly thin and is water-resistant up to 30 metres. The nucleus of this spectacular watch is the dial. The circular guilloché pattern on the dial creates — as the brand puts it — ‘an illusion of movement’. It carries a big date zone at 6 o’clock subtly touched by a diamond at the top, propelling the glamorous DNA of the brand. The date ring also overlaps the marker zone to add visual depth to the marvellously-designed dial.
But looks are not all that this watch has to provide. Harry Winston has housed this Midnight Big Date MIDABD42RR005 with an automatic movement, calibre HW3101 that can be seen through the exhibition case back. It’s a well-finished movement with a 70-hour power reserve. Whether extravagant or moderate, Harry Winston watches never fail to tempt and delight.
The case is in very good condition with a fine finish. However, you must note that the strap of this Harry Winston MIDABD42RR005 is a little soiled.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
