Hublot is not the brand that shies away from creating stealthy, bold, and offbeat timepieces. Proof? This limited-edition Big Bang UNICO. It features a skeleton dial and a flyback chronograph movement.
Why we love it
Hublot has come a really long way with this Big Bang. When launched in 2005, Big Bang was an instant hit mostly because watch aficionados loved its robust, bulky, and dominating style. But today's Big Bang is not only highly elevated in terms of design, but underneath, it's some serious watchmaking going on. Equipped with the first-ever 100% in-house built movement - Unico, the Big Bang firmly positioned the brand in the high horology landscape.
This Hublot Big Bang 411.C1.1190.LR.AB014 is built comprehensively with ceramic and regardless of the 45.5mm diameter and substantial thickness, feels lightweight and comfortable on the wrist. From the recessed sides to the punctuated fixed bezel and the easily operable pushers and crown, the construction of the case is top-notch, just like the dial where a lot of Unico is out for display. Except for the contrasting orange applied hour indexes and the minute scale on the outer ring, the dial holds no conventional feature. While skeletonised subdials sit at three and nine o'clock, the column wheel of this flyback chronograph is visible at six. Not only that but the date window is also refreshingly exposed on a transparent disc. Under the hood is the Unico HUB1242, an automatic flyback chronograph calibre with a column wheel and 72 hours of power reserve.
What you should know
While the bezel and clasp of this Hublot Big Bang bear light scratches, the leather and rubber strap boasts good condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
