Catering to one of our favourite sports, this Big Bang Unico Golf strikes with its radiant colour palette, stunning dial design, and signature Hublot personality.
Why we love it
The Unico Golf made an interesting addition to the Big Bang lineup upon its release in 2018. Its unique golf-specific complications were not only impressive but also highly ergonomic, an honest effort at practical innovation. In 2020 came the first iteration of the watch, and at Watches & Wonders 2023, Hublot released a new version called Big Bang Unico Golf Sky Blue Carbon.
This reference 416.YE.1120.VR carefully takes the recognised aesthetics of the model - the skeleton dial, the unique texalium construction, and the notable 45mm size - and presents them in a fresh colour palette. The case is made of carbon fibre with a sky-blue texalium upper layer. The colour makes the watch look distinctive and striking on the wrist. Furthermore, the bezel carries the signature titanium screws and a marked texture, giving this reference a very cool sporty appeal.
The complications on the skeleton dial are super fun to use and have been integrated with a particular design-driven approach. The pushers flanking the crown help track the number of strokes and the hole number indicated at three and nine o'clock respectively. At six is an aperture showing the total score. The pusher at eight o'clock helps reset the total score for the round. Also worth mentioning is that all the pushers are very well executed and are comfortable to use.
Through the sapphire crystal caseback, you'll see the beautifully finished movement and the skeletonised rotor - a discerning detail. The in-house self-winding calibre HUB1580 UNICO provides a power reserve of 72 hours.
Limited to only 100 pieces, this Hublot Big Bang Unico Golf Sky Blue Carbon 416.YE.1120.VR was purchased in 2023. It comes in excellent condition, featuring a well-kept case and strap.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
