IWC continues its penchant for bringing useful, practical complications into elegant, classic forms with this Aquatimer.
Why we love it
The IWC Aquatimer is one of the most popular collections by the brand. It comes with just a handful of variations distinguished through subtle changes, but most follow the same design language as this reference IW376803. It comes with a stainless steel case that is 44mm in diameter. The bidirectional external/internal rotating bezel has a SafeDive system to measure dive times safely. A sapphire crystal glazed with an anti-reflective coating on both sides shields the dial. The crown, flanked by the chronograph pushers, is screwed in to ensure water resistance of 30 metres. The watch is held by a sturdy black rubber strap with grooves on the inside for enhanced wearability.
The dial of this IWC Aquatimer is quite classic, with its timeless black surface contrasted legibly with highly luminous hour markers and hands. The chronograph counters are assembled vertically as a day-date complication is positioned at three o'clock. Automatic calibre 79320 runs the show. It has 25 jewels and beats at 28,800bph, guaranteeing a power reserve of 44 hours.
What you should know
Please note this IWC Aquatimer bears visible scratches on the bezel, case, and case back. The rubber strap is in satisfactory condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
