Each detail on this Pilot's Watch Chronograph is carefully selected to bolster versatility - the sizable 43mm case, the classic blue dial, and the complementing steel bracelet.
Why we love it
On this IW378004, the classic blue dial with a contemporary matte finish, adorned with textured sub-registers, enhances the overall appearance of the timepiece. The clean and elegant dial is offset by contrasting white Arabic numeral hour markers and sizeable hands. For balance, the date and day windows at three bear a similar colour palette. The vertical arrangement of the sub-dials and high luminosity maintain a legible and refined appeal, complemented by the brand text at three.
It is presented on a stainless steel case, in a sizable 43mm diameter, for improved comfort and ergonomics. Another element serving a similar cause is the quick-release strap system, allowing the bracelet to be easily attached or detached. On the aesthetical side of things, the case appears to settle more elegantly on the wrist, while the slim polished bezel creates a pleasing contrast against the brushed case.
Powering this watch is the calibre 69385, an automatic column wheel chronograph movement featuring 28,800bph of operating frequency, 242 components, and 33 jewels. This movement provides 46 hours of power reserve.
This IWC Pilot’s Watches Chronograph IW378004 is in excellent condition despite the minor nicks on the bracelet and clasp.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
