The IWC Pilot’s Watch Spitfire is a timepiece ingrained in elegant functionality, and this model in bronze emphasises that most impressively.
Why we love it
For those who admire IWC for its precise tool watches, especially the pilot ones, this Spitfire offers an impressive combination of the maison’s signature aesthetics and its contemporary watchmaking art. This reference IW387902 is automatic, 41mm wide with a round bronze case, 15.3mm thick, and 60 metres water resistant. The dial carries a contrast of textures featuring ribbed sub-registers set up in a vertical configuration against a glossy background. The Arabic numerals are highly luminous akin to the well-shaped hands. Also, the day and date apertures occupy the three o’clock position.
This reference is equipped with a highly-precise IWC calibre 69380 with a 28,800bph frequency and a 46-hour power reserve. The brown leather strap pairs well with the case and settles most effortlessly on the wrist.
What you should know
This IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Spitfire IW387902 promises a very good pre-owned condition with a well-maintained case and sturdy leather strap.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
