The IWC Top Gun Miramar effortlessly fuses military precision with vintage aviation style, creating a watch that's as bold as it is timeless.
Why we love it
This IWC Pilot's Watches Top Gun Miramar, reference IW388002, made its debut at Baselworld 2012, drawing inspiration from the military aesthetics of Top Gun students. The watch masterfully blends khaki, sand, olive, black, and red tones, evoking the look of aviator jumpsuits without being excessive. The anthracite dial features a thoughtful design: minute markers and rectangular indexes at three, six, and nine o'clock, along with an inverted triangle at 12, form the outer perimeter. Inside, a red hour indicator ring pays homage to vintage pilot watches. The dial includes two sub-dials for the flyback chronograph and small seconds, complemented by a unique aperture that displays yesterday, today, and tomorrow's date. The luminescent hands and select indexes feature a patina-like hue, reminiscent of aged vintage timepieces.
Housed in a robust 46mm case made of ceramic and titanium, the Top Gun Miramar is both durable and lightweight. The titanium elements extend to the caseback, chronograph pushers, and crown, with the caseback bearing engravings that read "INTERNATIONAL WATCH CO." and "PILOT'S WATCH TOP GUN MIRAMAR." Powered by the automatic calibre 89365, the watch operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a practical 68-hour power reserve, making it a reliable companion.

Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
