This IWC Pilot's Top Gun can be one of those rotational pieces of your collection that you can wear whenever thanks to its subtle and versatile look.
Why we love it
With a bold style and resilient structure, watches don't get more irresistible than this Top Gun Chronograph. Top Gun has been one of the most sought-after timepieces within the maison's rich catalogue and is best loved for its no-nonsense approach. This reference, IW389101, is designed to ensure pilots have a reliable companion even in the harshest conditions. Therefore, it comes rendered in solid and corrosion-resistant black zirconium oxide ceramic with a titanium caseback. The chronograph pushers and crown contribute heavily to creating an ergonomic character, as does the flexible and comfortable fabric strap.
The dial of this IWC Top Gun is purpose-oriented, with neatly-placed dial elements and elevated legibility. Arabic numeral hour markers, vertically set chronograph sub-dials, and the day-date windows at three give out impressive depth and style. The interesting touch of red on the hand within the running seconds counter conveys an added sense of charm.
Calibre 69380, an in-house automatic movement, powers this watch. It beats at a frequency of 28,800bph and provides a power reserve of 46 hours. It is the first Top Gun Chronograph to be equipped with a calibre from IWC's 69000-calibre family.
Please note this IWC Pilot's Watch Top Gun Chronograph shows light nicks on the sapphire crystal glass. The case and bezel also bear minor scuffs. The leather strap is in satisfactory form.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
