The understated design and presence of signature elements recall the sophisticated charm and timeless style of the iconic 1930s Portugieser.
Why we love it
Standing at the crossroads of Portofino's streamlined sophistication and Pilot's efficacy, this IWC Portugieser advances a modern reinterpretation of the original design of the 1930s. From the notable 40mm size to simple Arabic numeral hour markers, running seconds sub-dial at six, and the railroad chapter ring, this reference is thriving with signature elements that make it as iconic as the OG model.
In addition to design, the watch also focuses on functionality. The stainless steel case is 30m water resistant, shielded by sapphire crystal glass with an anti-reflective coating on both sides. The watch is powered by the automatic calibre 82200, visible through the sapphire crystal caseback. It has a hacking seconds mechanism, a beat rate of 28,800bph, 31 jewels, and 60 hours of power reserve.
This Portugieser is provided on a blue alligator leather strap with the wearability of a folding clasp system. Overall, this IWC watch speaks to the discerning watch aficionados through its elegant and subtle style, avoiding fuss and frill to let personality shine through.
With no visible scratches or signs of use on the case and the strap, this IWC Portugieser IW358304 comes in very good pre-owned condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
