The Jacob & Co. Epic X India Edition pays homage to India's rich historical legacy, appealing to history enthusiasts and the Indian diaspora alike.
Why we love it
Jacob & Co. joined the league of watchmakers crafting India-inspired timepieces back in 2014 with their Astronomia Art India watch, featuring iconic landmarks like the India Gate, Taj Mahal, Lotus Temple, and Qutub Minar in exquisite 3D detail. Building on this success, Jacob & Co. now pays homage to India's rich history with their Epic X collection, creating only 11 limited-edition pieces.
The open-worked dial of the Epic X brilliantly showcases the beauty of India alongside Jacob & Co.'s craftsmanship. Each monument holds a significant place in India and globally, starting with the poignant India Gate, a war memorial honouring soldiers of the early 20th century. The majestic Taj Mahal, a symbol of love and architectural brilliance, is followed by the iconic Gateway Of India and the towering Qutub Minar, representing India's rich heritage.
Design-wise, the Epic X Titanium boasts a unique 44mm case construction and a skeletonised dial, featuring signature X-shaped lugs and a polished titanium case. The ergonomic rubber strap adds a touch of casual style, making it a versatile piece for any occasion.
Time-telling simplicity is key in this watch, with minute markers on the inner flange marked by skeletonised baton hands. The manual-winding calibre JCAM02, providing 48 hours of power reserve, is beautifully displayed through the front and back sapphire crystal, showcasing gears, bridges, and the mainspring barrel. The arrangement of components offers a pleasing vista.

Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
