The Reverso of the future — a symphony of complications render this Grande GMT one of the most dynamic Reversos ever made.
Why we love it
Perhaps a spirit of practical watchmaking is what the maison wanted to propose with this Reverso Grande GMT, presented most eloquently in an iconic form. This charming piece of a watch takes the scene with its twin dials that exhibit a symphony of complications. Grande date, small seconds, and day-night indicator populate the silver guilloche dial, while a pragmatic second time zone sub-dial, a GMT offset counter, again a day-night indicator, and a power reserve display call dibs on the stealthy black one. This assortment of seven unique functions makes this reference one of the most dynamic Reversos.
These functions come in a 29mm stainless steel package flaunting the signature grooves and practically-designed crown and pushers. While the silver dial carries a more recognisable JLC look, the black dial flaunts a tool-watch aesthetic and has luminous markers and hands. These distinctively-fashioned dials give this Reverso twin personality — elegant and sporty, with the black leather strap complementing both perfectly.
JLC calibre 878 is an in-house manufacture movement composed of over 270 parts and 35 jewels. It has gone through the house’s 1000-hour master control test and promises a power reserve of eight days.
This Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Grande GMT shows a good pre-owned condition, with minor scuffs on the caseback and buckle. The leather strap is in satisfactory form.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
