Outfitted in the patented Sedna gold, this limited edition Omega Constellation complements its celebrated legacy with unrestrained charm and luxury.
Why we love it
At Baselworld 2013, Omega introduced a Sedna gold Constellation that became the first Omega watch rendered in the brand's patented alloy. Sedna gold is a conflation of gold, copper and palladium with a minimum gold content of 75% and a warm rose gold hue. This Constellation reference 123.53.38.21.02.001 pairs a gold case with an integrated brown leather strap and a beautifully designed silver dial.
Like many of its counterparts, this reference is water resistant to 100 metres and measures a versatile 38mm in diameter and 12.5mm in height. The case bears the signature claws and Roman numeral engravings on the bezel. Also, while the case shines in a glistening polished finish, the bezel offers a charming contrast with a brushed finish.
The silver 'pie-pan' dial tributes the very first Constellation launched in 1952. It is punctuated with geometric faceted hour indexes and dauphine hands, all fashioned in rose gold. At three o'clock is the gold-rimmed window for date complication.
The sapphire crystal caseback furnishes a view of the self-winding calibre 8501. Thanks to the movement's two barrels mounted in series, the watch promises a running autonomy of 60 hours. To complete the gold design trope, the oscillating rotor and the bridge over the balance wheel are cast in Sedna gold.
Except for light scratches on the caseback, this Omega Constellation shows a fairly good pre-owned condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
