The exalted splendour of jewellery manifested through a watch. Such is the promise of this unique and extraordinary Constellation - one of the most expensive Omega watches.
Why we love it
The Omega Constellation has traditionally been the collection where the maison adds timepieces that embody elegance, jewellery-like nuances, and an abundance of creativity. Such attributes have translated into watches that are sophisticated reminders of Omega's balanced design aesthetics. However, when the house launched the re-design of the Constellation in 2009, its Luxury Edition was something never-seen-before in Omega's repertoire. Timepieces in the Luxury Edition were nestled into a mane of diamonds evoking unparalleled beauty and luxury. Even today, they make one of the most expensive Omega watches.
This beautiful reference 123.55.31.20.55.006 is a modestly-sized 31mm watch made of 18k rose gold, though you can only see touches of the metal as the entire expanse comes enveloped in decadent diamonds. However, the soul of the watch is Constellation through and through. Despite all the shimmer and glamour, the identity of the watch is highly recognisable with the signature claws, the half-moon facets, and the star motif on the dial.
Now, let's talk diamonds because there are more than 2000 of them. Snow-set pave diamonds have been meticulously aligned on the bezel, case, and bracelet. Furthermore, the dial - charming mother-of-pearl - carries a delicate supernova pattern decorated with diamonds. And lastly, interjected between that pattern are diamond hour markers. Another unique element of note is the diamond with a black Omega logo on the butterfly clasp. The logo has been engraved on the stone after a long and strenuous process of laser engraving.
When it comes to watches, looks aren't everything; and performance matters equally. This Omega Constellation comes equipped with a sapphire crystal caseback flaunting an excellent finish and the Geneva waves that adorn the automatic co-axial calibre 8421. This self-winding movement promises 50 hours of power reserve. It is 100m water resistant and has luminous hands.
This Omega Constellation Luxury Edition 123.55.31.20.55.006 arrives in excellent condition with just a few light scuffs on the crown. Please note the dial is visibly stained.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
