With a bigger size, a gorgeous dial, and the signature appeal, this 2022-released Omega Constellation is a real head-turner.
Why we love it
One of the most casual-elegant watches at Omega, the Constellation perfectly fits the job with a refined case and an integrated bracelet design. It is classic and retrained and slightly sporty too. In 2020, the brand released a larger 41mm version for men. This new launch was fairly interesting, boasting a look that was sportier and movement that was more powerful. Then in 2022, Omega kicked the 41mm model up a notch with new versions in vibrant dials and new materials.
This 2022-released reference 131.23.41.21.11.001 has a 41mm case made of steel and 18k Sedna gold. The bezel is shiny black ceramic furnished with signature claws and contrasting gold Roman numerals engraved with the Ceragold technology. 50m water resistant, the watch is worn on an integrated leather strap flaunting a tasteful shade of burgundy.
The pièce de resistance in this reference is certainly the dial. It makes an impression with a finely brushed texture and a gradient dark red shade. The colour contrasts beautifully with the gold-hued hour indexes and hands treated with luminescence. The dial creates a pleasing presence on the wrist with its play of light and visual depth. The brand logo at 12, the iconic star motif at six, and the date aperture are the subtle bells and whistles that complete the dial.
Powering this Constellation is the workhorse calibre 8900, the brand’s in-house automatic movement. It has a comfortable power reserve of 60 hours, beats at 28,800bph, and comes with the signature co-axial escapement. It is a Master Chronometer that is resistant to magnetic fields of 15,000 gauss.
Except for light scratches on the sapphire crystal glass, this Omega Constellation is a well-maintained watch showing excellent condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
