Omega's perpetual pursuit to innovate is beautifully manifested in this elegant, understated Constellation from the house's repertoire.
Why we love it
One of the most casual-elegant watches at Omega, the Constellation perfectly fits the job with a refined case and an integrated bracelet design. It is classic and slightly sporty too. In 2020, the brand released a larger 41mm version for men. This new launch was fairly interesting, boasting a look that was sportier and movement that was more powerful. Then in 2022, Omega kicked the 41mm model up a notch with new versions in vibrant dials and new materials.
This reference 131.33.41.21.06.001 has a 41mm case made of steel. The bezel is a polished black ceramic furnished with signature claws and contrasting Roman numerals engraved in Liquidmetal. 50m water resistant, the watch is worn on an integrated leather strap flaunting a tasteful shade of black.
The pièce de resistance in this reference is certainly the dial. It makes an impression with a silk-embossed finish and a rhodium-grey shade. The colour harmonises beautifully with the blackened hour indexes, hands, the star motif at six, and the logo at 12. The dial creates a pleasing presence on the wrist with its play of light and visual depth. Lastly, a date aperture complete the dial.
Powering this Constellation is the workhorse calibre 8900, the brand's in-house automatic movement. It has a comfortable power reserve of 60 hours, beats at 28,800bph, and comes with the signature co-axial escapement. It is a Master Chronometer that is resistant to magnetic fields of 15,000 gauss.
This Omega Constellation 131.33.41.21.06.001 has marks on the crystal and case. The caseback and clasp have nicks as well. The leather strap is in satisfactory form.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
