The Planet Ocean collection, launched in 2005, pays homage to Omega’s rich history of crafting professional dive watches, combining modern technology with heritage-driven design. The 45.5mm stainless steel case is paired with a dark blue ceramic dial, featuring Arabic numerals and a date window discreetly placed at the six o'clock position. The dial’s layout is designed for optimal functionality, with small seconds at nine o’clock and chronograph counters for both 12 hours and 60 minutes on sub-dials at nine o’clock and three o’clock, allowing for intuitive reading of elapsed time. The signature arrow hands, along with the orange chronograph hands, enhance legibility, especially in low-light conditions.

A key feature of this watch is its unidirectional rotating bezel, crafted from blue ceramic and fitted with Omega's Liquidmetal diving scale. The bezel, alongside the helium escape valve positioned at 10 o'clock, ensures the watch can withstand underwater pressure, making it water-resistant up to 600 metres (2000 feet).
